Katonah man charged with possession of forged checks

PRESS RELEASE

Somers, New York – On February 17, 2015 at approximately 6:54 p.m., New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Somers barracks charged Colin J. Tullgren, 22 years old, of Katonah, New York, with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

In September of 2014, Troopers were contacted by a Somers resident who reports that she discovered several checks had been cashed against her bank account without her authorization.

Investigation revealed that Tullgren had forged and cashed several checks totally $790 from the victim’s account.

This investigation remains on-going and Tullgren may face additional charges at a later date.

Tullgren was arraigned before the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Somers Court on February 23, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
