Julia’s Wings Foundation is flying high and strong again with Operation Wear Red

The Julia’s Wings Foundation (JWF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation is committed to raising awareness of the Aplastic Anemia. Through building awareness, JWF hopes to one day to find a cure for Aplastic Anemia as we educate others about this vicious disease. Aplastic Anemia is a rare and serious bone marrow disease which affects 600-900 Americans each year. This disease can strike people of any age, race or gender. But it is more common among children, teenagers and young adults. Federal funding is low because the number of lives affected by it are considered small. It is still somebody’s daughter, sister, son, brother, cousin, friend, aunt, uncle, mom, dad or grandparent!

It’s the non-profit organizations like JWF that are paving the way with research funds targeted at finding a cure for Aplastic Anemia. We can’t do it alone, we need your help! Our first step in reaching our goal for a cure is to raise awareness of this disease!

You can help by joining us during Aplastic Anemia Awareness Week March 1st-7th. Make your school, business or organization coloRED. Some simple ideas are hockey/athletic tape, sport laces, armbands, ribbons – just to name a few. We ask that you please consider making a donation of $1 and select a day during awareness week and wear anything RED! We have so many sports teams, schools, organizations and businesses on board! You don’t want to miss out!

Like us on Julia’s Wings Foundation Facebook page and post photos of your organization participating in Operation Wear Red.
