Oswego man arrested by State Police in Brewster for Felony DWI

PRESS RELEASE

Southeast, New York – On January 31, 2016, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested 30-year-old Alan C. Wheeler of Oswego, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.  Wheeler was additionally charged with failing to operate a motor vehicle equipped with an interlock device.

Troopers were dispatched to assist a disable motorist on State Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. An investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, Wheeler, was intoxicated.

He was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI related conviction from June of 2013.

The defendant was arraigned before the Town of Kent Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.  Wheeler is scheduled to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on February 9, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
