Poughkeepsie man arrested for felony driving while intoxicated

East Fishkill, New York – On January 30, 2016, New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested 40-year-old Brian R. Morgan of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.
Troopers stopped Morgan on the Taconic State Parkway for traveling in excess of 80 miles per hour. Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Morgan was found to be intoxicated. He was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI related conviction from July of 2014.
The defendant was arraigned before the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. He is due to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on February 3, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
