The State Police in Monroe announce the arrest of three women from the City of Newburgh for Burglary in the Second Degree in the Village of Kiryas Joel.

On 01/27/16 State Police Members responded to a home on Eahal Court in the Village of Kiryas Joel for a reported burglary to the residence where numerious pieces of jewelry had been stolen.  During the course of the investigation, three women who work as a home cleaning service in the Village of Kiryas Joel were developed as suspects.  Investigators were able to locate and interview the three suspects and admissions were made regarding their involvement in the burglary.

Gladis Aguilar (32), Tania Borjas-Garcia (34), and Yorleni Varela (30) all of the City of Newburgh were arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (class C felony).  They were arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court and remanded to Orange County Jail.

It is believed that these women have been involved in several burglaries, some unreported, within the Village. The State Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Monore barracks at (845)782-8311
