Tarrytown woman arrested for DWI under Leandra’s Law following crash investigation

 PRESS RELEASE

Mount Pleasant, New York – On January 29, 2016 at approximately 12:07 p.m., the New York State Police at Hawthorne responded to a 2-car property damage auto collision that occurred on the Taconic State Parkway, southbound at Cleveland Street.

An investigation revealed that Adriana M. Pentz, age 35, of Sleepy Hollow, New York, was intoxicated and operating the vehicle with her 2 children, ages 1 and 3, in the back seat.  Pentz was charged with  Driving While Intoxicated, underLeandra’s Law, a Felony.

Pentz provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content
of .36%, more than 4 times the legal limit of intoxication.  The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Mount Pleasant court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash  bail or $30,000  bail bond.

Pentz is due back in the Town of Mount Pleasant Court on February 4, 2016
at 9:30 a.m.
