Lockport man charged with Disseminating Indecent Material to 14-year-old Dutchess County girl

Wappingers Falls, New York – On January 27, 2016, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jason M. Naylor, 41 years old, of Lockport, New York, for Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

In July of 2015, Troopers were contacted by the parents of a 14-year-old Wappingers Falls resident regarding inappropriate messages found on the their daughter’s “KIK” cell phone application.  Following a detailed investigation, Troopers found that Naylor had represented himself as a teenager and sent messages to the underage victim that were sexual in nature.  Naylor had messaged the victim and attempted to lure her into a face-to-face meeting.

Naylor was arrested at his residence in Lockport and transported to Dutchess County by members of Troops A, T and K.  He was arraigned before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Naylor was scheduled to reappear in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court on January 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
