PRESS RELEASE

Millbrook, New York – On February 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks charged 21-year-old Joshua T. Yozura of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor.

State Troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks were dispatched to investigate a trespassing complaint that occurred at Bennett College. The intrusion was discovered when the head of Bennett College Security observed the incident posted on Youtube by Yozura. Investigation revealed that three subjects had entered the building in November of 2014, passing the fence designed to exclude intruders. The other suspects observed in the Youtube video remain unidentifed at this time.

Yozura was issued an appearance ticket ordering him to appear before the Town of Washington Court on February 24, 2015.

Members of the public are advised not to trespass on Bennett College property. The buildings are privately owned and all trespassers will be arrested. Over time, the condition of the buildings has severely deteriorated making the property extremely unsafe to enter. Not only is it hazardous for the trespassers themselves, it is also dangerous for responding law enforcement officers or first responders.
