Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Report

Arrest : Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Aaron A. Eaton, 25 years old, of New Salem Road in the Town of Esopus.
Eaton was charged with the felony of assault in the second degree.

On February 16, 2015, at approximately 2:00 am, Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting an assault that had just occurred in the area of New Salem Road in the Town of Esopus. An Investigation revealed that Eaton and the victim engaged in a physical altercation, when Eaton struck the victim in the face causing a severe laceration to his nose. The victim was then transported to Kingston Hospital via Mobile Life where he was treated for a broken nose and later released.

Eaton was transported to the Esopus substation where he was processed and then arraigned in front of Judge Shanley-Manicone of the Town of Esopus Court. Eaton was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash or $20,000.00 secured bond. Eaton is due back in the Town of Esopus Court at a later date.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of Mobile Life and the Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
