Sherman man facing prison sentence
LITCHFIELD CT — A 37 year old Sherman man is being held on $50,000 court set bond on violation of probation charges.
Matthew Stenton, of Green Pond Road, Sherman was arrested Feb. 5 on Bridge Street in New Milford by New Milford Police on the outstanding warrant. He was arraigned Feb. 6 in Superior Court in Bantam and remanded to custody with a Feb. 18 court date in Superior Court in Litchfield for a post judgement proceeding, according to the state Judicial website.
Matthew was serving a five year probation following four years in prison on a 2008 guilty verdict on charges of first-degree larceny and second-degree arson.
