MILLERTON, NY—On Sunday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. Salisbury Bank and The Moviehouse in Millerton will present a special holiday screening of Frank Capra’s 1946 classic film IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Admission is free and open to the entire community and is part of a village-wide celebration of the 2016 holiday season.

Enjoy complimentary candy canes, cookies and apple cider, plus balloons and coloring books for the children, provided courtesy of Salisbury Bank. After the film, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village, make a start on your holiday shopping and, as the sun goes down, enjoy the spectacle of Millerton’s holiday lights.

It’s a Wonderful Life is set in the small town of Bedford Falls (not unlike Millerton) and stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who is beginning to wish he had never been born, and Henry Travers as an angel named Clarence, sent to earth to help George by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. As George sees how things might have been in his town without his contribution, he starts to realize how many lives he has changed and impacted, and how they would be different if he was never there.

Salisbury Bank and The Moviehouse invite everyone to see the movie and take part in the celebration of our own “wonderful town” – Millerton, NY!

Admission: FREE
Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
The Moviehouse, 48 Main Street, Millerton, NY 12546

The film will be screened in the original black and white.
