Team Julia for Julia’s Wings Foundation nearing the Finish Line

Sherman, CTTeam Julia, running for Julia’s Wings Foundation (JWF) in The Kent Pumpkin Run on October 25th, is nearing the finish Line. Organizers are pleased to share that 144 runners have registered as of 10/13 for the event and that they are closing in on exceeding our goal of surpassing registrations from last year!

Molly Fitzpatrick, a veteran runner for TJW says “I love running the Kent Pumpkin Run for Julia’s Wings Foundation. Throughout the course you pass people with JWF shirts and it really gives you the “wings” to finish the race. And the best part is that everyone is there for the same reason- to be the change for Julia!”

There is still time to join the Team, to register visit http://www.kentpumpkinrun.com/race-info/register and Choose Team Julia’s Wings!

JWF was founded by the Malsin Family after they lost their daughter Julia, and big sister to Alyssa, after a year long battle against Aplastic Anemia, which is a rare bone marrow failure disease. Julia was 13 years old. Julia’s family created the JWF in loving memory and celebration of their daughter. JWF is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to families of children with life threatening hematological diseases and to medical professionals for healthcare research. The foundation provides financial support to these families to cover costs of travel, lodging, and other living expenses for qualified participants. In addition, JWF seeks to promote the advancement of research for Aplastic Anemia through contributions to organizations and individuals dedicated to this endeavor.
