State Police investigate Millbrook – Alden Place School Incident

Millbrook, New York – On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at approximately 9:12 a.m., New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks were dispatched to Alden Place Elementary School for a reported suspicious person complaint.  Troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks, including members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, responded to the school to investigate the allegations.

An Alden Place student reported to school administrators that a male approached them while they were walking to school and attempted to grab them.

The New York State Police has thoroughly investigated this morning’s events and have  identified the male party involved. At this point, there is no indication of any danger to students or staff. The State Police will have increased patrols in the area of the Millbrook schools during dismissal today, as well as during the morning and afternoon hours for the remainder of the week.
