Putnam Valley man charged with menacing following domestic dispute

Putnam Valley, New York – On February 7, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Cortlandt barracks arrested 24-year-old Michael Stavila, of Putnam Valley, New York, following a domestic incident that occurred at a Putnam Valley residence.

Troopers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance where it was discovered that Stavila menaced the victim with a kitchen knife following a verbal dispute.

Stavila was charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Stavila was arraigned before the Town of Putnam Valley Court and released on his own recognizance. Stavila was directed to reappear in the town court on February 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
