Bronx Man Arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument

PRESS RELEASE
On August 18, 2015, The New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Richard Castro, age 44, of the Bronx, NY for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree. Castro did possess a fraudulent social security card and did use same at the Department of Motor Vehicle Office located in Yonkers NY to obtain a NYS ID Card. The New York State Police worked in conjuction with the New York State DMV Investigations Unit.
Castro was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree (D-Felony) and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree (E-Felony). He was arraigned in the City of Yonkers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
