Orange County Child abuse arrest of day care worker

PRESS RELEASE
On 08/19/15  the Orange County Child Abuse Unit. which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Village of Goshen Police, City of Port Jervis Police and Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested a  47 year old City of Middletown woman on 4 counts each of class the A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, subdivision 1 and 4 counts each of the class A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, subdivision 2.
The OCCA Unit arrested and charged KESHA PERRY, 47 years old (dob 12/24/67) of the City of Middletown, N.Y. following an investigation of a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services – Child Protective Services. The investigation revealed that Ms. PERRY, while operating a day care at her residence in the City of Middletown, became aware of  the abuse of four children, ranging in age from 4 years old to 11 years old and she failed to take appropriate action on behalf of the children.
Ms. PERRY was arraigned before the Honorable City of Port Jervis Judge  STEVEN W. BROCKETT  and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,000.00 cash bail or $6,000.00 secured bond. Judge BROCKETT ordered Ms.PERRY to reappear before the City of Middletown Court on August 24, 2015 at 9:00AM.  Orders of Protection were issued on behalf of the victims in this investigation.
