Beacon man arrested for drugged driving following hit-and-run crash investigation

Wappinger, New York – On August 17, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Anthony Marron, 25 years old, of Beacon, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to a three-car hit-and-run auto collision that occurred on Osborne Hill Road.  An investigation revealed that Marron caused a three-car crash and left the scene prior to police arrival.  He was located a short time later on Marlorville Road.  Subsequent to an interview conducted by the arresting officer, Marron was determined to be impaired by drugs at the time of the crash.

A State Police Drug Recognition Expert was utilized to confirm that Marron was impaired by drugs.

Marron was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Wappinger Court on August 26, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
