Catherine Ellen Strack passed away surrounded by her family on February 8, 2015 at the age of 72.

Catherine was born in Glens Falls, NY on April 19, 1942 to Norman and Ann (Coffee) Gould. She graduated from Sallaz Academy of Redford, NY in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne, in 1961. After moving to Poughquag, NY, she attained her degree in Accounting while working at the Green Haven Credit Union. Following the credit union, she worked at the Beekman Town Hall as Comptroller. Upon her retirement from the town, she obtained her real estate license and worked for R. Ferris Real Estate.

Catherine took pleasure in helping her friends and neighbors with their taxes. She loved camping with her family and friends for over forty years. She traveled overseas to Ireland and Scotland, and enjoyed taking train trips across the United States, Canada, and Alaska, and numerous cruises to the islands.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Poughquag; four children, Edward Strack and his wife, Sandra, of Poughquag, Anastasia Bellissimo and her husband Vincent of Poughquag, Darren Strack and his wife Patricia of LaGrangeville, and Eric Strack and his wife Sharon of Poughkeepsie; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Jocelyn, Michelle, Caroline, Catherine, Christopher, Jesse, and Evan; her brother John Gould and his wife Karen of Saranac, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Bill, and her sister Norma.

Calling hours are on Friday, February 13th from 4-8 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction, NY.
