Beekman 15U started their run in the NYS Tournament on Friday, July 10, in Pool “B” as the home team against Niskayuna.
Kyle Diaz was the starting pitcher and threw 6 masterful innings of 2 hit ball, allowing only one run to score. The offense was lead by Marco Fratarcangeli who was 3–4 with 2 singles, a triple, 1 RBI and a run scored. Beekman held a 3-1 lead going into the top of the 7th, Diaz had to be relieved because of excessive pitches and the bullpen collapsed along with some mental errors and Niskayuna was able to muster 5 runs and win 6-3. A tough lost for Beekman.
Saturday, July 11, Beekman v. Sorensco. Christian Ross got the start in this game and was cruising with a 4-0 lead when in the bottom of the 7th Sorensco was able to get 3 runs across on 2 Beekman errors and some mental mistakes, but the bleeding was stopped and Beekman held on to a 4-3 win. Ross pitched a phenomenal game allowing only 4 hits and 1 earned run. Marco Fratarcangeli again was the hitting star going 2-4 with a double and one runs scored. Sunday, July 12, Beekman v. Roundout Valley. Kyle Diaz was called upon again in a must win for Beekman in order to advance. Diaz pitched 3 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 run. Connor Light pitched 2 innings of 2 hit ball and Travis Santiago closed out the last 2 innings getting all 6 batters he faced. There was no 7th inning jinx as Beekman won, 5-1. This was a team effort on offense as every player except one reached base either by getting a hit or drawing a walk.

Beekman pitchers allowed only 12 hits in 28 innings. 3 teams finished 2-2 in Pool “B” and Beekman seeded #2 because they allowed the second lowest runs in their pool (16) and fourth lowest amongst both Pools (A & B). 10 total teams were in Pool play.
