Pawling Library Offers The Blue Olive Oil and Vinegar Tasting Seminar

By Donald Partelow
The Blue Olive has been graciously appearing at the Pawling Library each year for an interactive cooking seminar. This year marked their fourth appearance. It is always a very special occasion for our library to have them join us and draws a large gathering of cooking enthusiasts.  The four founding members of The Olive Blue assembled to make this program possible: Laura and John Leahy and Beth and John Canevari.
John Canevari prepared three recipes, for the audience. John’s culinary skills are equally matched by his ability as an engaging instructor and the many food enthusiasts in the audience taking notes as he spoke. When each dish was complete the audience partook of a serving.  One person in attendance commented that she never before had olive oil that tasted so good.  Every beautifully presented portion served was thoroughly enjoyed; with its own unique burst of flavor, it was as pleasing to the palate as it was to the eyes.
Cooking is an art form and the very talented artists from The Blue Olive created another exceptional presentation. The Blue Olive is located at 26 Charles Colman Blvd in Pawling, NY. They specialize in not only high quality and distinctive vinegars and extra virgin olive oils but gourmet sea salts and many other fine products.
The schedule of Adult programming at the Pawling Library may be accessed by visiting the library website at pawlingfreelibrary.org, or contacting Donald Partelow at 855-3444.
