Bruce C. Brothers, longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 65.
Born in Sharon, CT on February 17, 1953, he was the son of the late Clayton E. Brothers and Virginia Delage Brothers, and husband of Jane Brothers who survives at home. Bruce graduated from Dover Sr. High School. He previously worked at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center, Wassaic Developmental Center, and drove a school bus for Laidlaw. Bruce was also a prior volunteer EMT for the Dover Rescue Squad. In the last few years, he worked at the Shell gas station in Beekman, NY.
In addition to his wife Jane, Bruce is survived by his son Jason Brothers of Wingdale and daughter Amanda Brothers Chianese and her husband Frank Chianese of Clinton Corners. He also had two grandsons, Clayton Brothers, and Austin Hearn.
Funeral arrangements are private, under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
