Nice Girl, a staged reading at the Cultural Arts Coalition

The Cultural Arts Coalition presents a staged reading of Nice Girl, by Melissa Ross.  This emotional story of figuring out and then letting go of who you are supposed to be will be performed by an amazing group of actors.  Natalia Fogerty, Eric Schuster, Chris Jamison Matthews and Joan Popovic Cavallo bring the characters to life and transport us back to 1984 to a suburb in Massachusetts where the character of Josephine Rosen transforms herself from a dead-end spinster to a modern woman.

Join us on October 6 at 7:30pm and October 7 at 3pm at The Studio Around the Corner in Brewster for this journey of self-discovery.  Each show will be followed by a reception and a discussion with the actors and director, Pia Haas.  Tickets are $15 and can be reserved at toscac.booktix.com

Theater Around the Corner is made possible in part through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program, with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Legislature. For more information on this and other Cultural Arts Coalition events, visit:  www.CulturalArtsCo.com, call (845)363-8330, email info@culturalartsco.com or find us on Facebook at “Cultural Arts Coalition”.

About The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition

The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining cultural arts within the Town of Southeast and its surrounding region. TOSCAC was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in August 2010 with the purpose, as detailed in the incorporation papers, “… to promote and raise funds for the development and effective management of affordable, accessible performance space that will provide citizens of the Town of Southeast opportunities to participate in and appreciate cultural arts, including lectures, theater, dance, film, music, visual arts, and inclusive community events.”

Our current focus is the restoration of the Southeast Old Town Hall, a historic landmark within the Village of Brewster and a perfect venue to serve as a cultural hub. The Old Town Hall has been described as a “Jewel in the Center of Brewster” and its restoration will help foster the revitalization of downtown Brewster.
