John Faso just can’t stop lying about healthcare
In an interview today with Bloomberg Television, John Faso said that the American Health Care Act (AHCA) “did protect people with pre-existing conditions, despite what Democrats will say.”
The Washington Post fact-checked this claim by Washington Republicans and found it “mostly false” and very misleading.
The truth is that the AHCA would have gutted protections for pre-existing conditions and increased out of pocket costs and premiums. John Faso voted to give states the option to nullify the rules protecting people with pre-existing conditions, making health insurance unaffordable and inaccessible for millions of people with cancer, asthma, diabetes and other illnesses.
