Stop the Bleed Training

The Dutchess County Medical Reserve Corps is presenting Stop the Bleed training on Tuesday, September 18th at the Pawling Library, 11 Broad Street at 7PM. Stop the Bleed is intended to empower bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop blood loss by any means necessary. Participants will receive “hands on” training in the proper use of direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquets. Register by calling 855-3444 or online at www.pawlinglibrary.org
