Obituary, Carlyn A. “Connie” Miller

Carlyn A. “Connie” Miller passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home in Wingdale, NY at the age of 78.

Born in Lancaster, PA on January 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Rosemarie (Kamm) Miller.  She moved from Lancaster to Pawling in 1957, and worked as a purchasing agent at Pawling Corporation; she later moved to Wingdale.

Connie was a parishioner of the Pawling Lutheran Church of Christ the King and its Lutheran Ladies League.  She was also a former member of the Pawling Jayncees. Connie was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and started The Pink Kittens Twirling Group. Her home was always open to friends, especially her children’s friends.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jenny Scholz and husband, Craig, of Pawling, Melissa Baker and husband, Tim, of Wingdale, and Paula Chase of Saratoga Springs, NY; two sisters, Barbara Germer of Lancaster, PA and Arlene Moore and husband, Jim, of Redding, PA; five grandchildren, Jessica Dawson and husband, Brad, Kayla and Zachary Scholz, Carrie Baker and Jason Parent, and Timothy Baker; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah, Grayson, Addison, and Jonathan.

In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by two brothers George and Charles Miller, and sister, Mona Lehn.

A funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church of Christ the King, Pawling at 11 AM Wednesday, September 12th.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
