Obituary, Cecil W. Doyle

 

Pine Plains, NY – Cecil W. Doyle, 86, passed away early on August 13th, 2018 in the comfort of his own home.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and Friend to many.

Cecil was born on September 6th 1931 a son of Wilber and Margaret Turbarg Doyle.

He served as a corporal in the United States Army from 1949-1953. After he was discharged, he worked at A &J Service for many years and then was co-owner of Doyle and Coons Oil Company until his retirement in 1993.

On April 5th 1953 Cecil married his wife of 65 years Gloria (Ingleson) Doyle who survives him at home.

Cecil was an avid fisherman and very much enjoyed his trips to Saranac Lake. He enjoyed many times with friends at “coffee time” twice a day and his trips around Stissing Lake.

In addition to his loving wife Gloria, survivors include a daughter Brenda (Peter) White, four grandchildren Sara(Christopher) Dundon, Lindsey White, Cody Blakeley and Megan White, two great-grandchildren Caleb and Sophie Dundon, a sister, Eunice Swartz, three sisters-in-law, Barbara Wesley, Augusta Ingleson and Marian Doyle, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by a daughter, Deborah (Doyle) Blakeley, son-in-law John Blakeley, two brothers Louis and Clyde Doyle and two sisters Irene Stuetzle and Vera Leibhart.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at 11 am at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Carol Miller will be officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Avenue Poughkeepsie NY 12601.
