Obituary, Kathryn Knickerbocker-Hare

 

 

CLINTON CORNERS – Kathryn Knickerbocker-Hare, 67 of Clinton Corners passed away on August 8, 2018 following a short illness at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Born in the Bronx, NY on June 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary Fiore Fera.

Kathryn was a graduate of James Monroe High School, Class of 1969 in the Bronx and received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from SUNY New Paltz.

On August 15, 2015 at James Baird State Park,, Kathryn married Ron Hare. Mr. Hare survives at home.

Kathyrn was employed at Anderson Center for Autism as a special education teacher for 17 years until her retirement.

She enjoyed working with her students, working in her yard and gardening.

In addition to her husband Ron, Kathryn is survived by her daughter Katrina DeRosa of Poughkeepsie; her sons Scot Knickerbocker of Washington, DC, Bruce Knickerbocker of Pine Plains and Kenny Knickerbocker of Indonesia; her step-children, Siobhan Lee of West Park, NY and Ronnie Hare of Hyde Park; her 8 grandchildren; her brother Carl Fera of the Bronx; her sister Janet Fera and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 13 from 4-8 pm and Tuesday, August 14 from 9 -9:30 am at 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 14 at 10 am from St. Stanislaus Church, Main St., Pleasant Valley. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx,NY
