Obituary, Rodger David Manwaring

 

Rodger David Manwaring, 49, of Gaylordsville, passed away August 3rd, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Rodger was born November 6, 1968 in New Milford, CT. H,e was a graduate of Abbott Technical School in 1987. He was a lifelong resident of Gaylordsville until recently buying his own home in Dover Plains, NY.

Rodger had a passion and talent for flat track motorcycle racing which he enjoyed competing in for several years before becoming a diehard spectator. He enjoyed Nascar, woodworking, and tinkering in his spare time. He also enjoyed having many projects to go home to in his new home.

Rodger spent his adult life as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver, most recently with Harlem Valley Sand & Gravel in Wassaic, NY, where he throughly enjoyed working.

Rodger is survived by his loving parents Roger & Maureen Manwaring of Gaylordsville, a brother Steven, a sister Jennifer & her husband Steve Lee, a niece Amanda & her husband Ryan Connelly, and a nephew Justin Lee. Also several cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. His loyal four-legged companion Cody will miss him dearly.

A memorial service where his friends & family can gather will be held at a later date, to be determined. Burial will be private.
