Meccariello, Nick L., 94 1/2 of Lexington, KY. Passed away July 19, 2018. Nick never complained.
His blood pressure dropped on June 20, 2018, he was sent to St. Joseph Hospital, by Brookdale Richmond Place, living there the last year. Thanks for loving and caring for our Father! It is a very hard job. Nick gave an admiral fight, but was very sick. God rest his soul.
Our family came from Pine Plains, NY. Nick was born in Yonkers, New York, Jan 19,1924. Married nearly 60 years to Charlotte Coons Meccariello, Stanfordville, NY. Nick was with IBM Kingston Plant, NY. He transferred to Lexington, KY in 1957 as a manager when IBM just opened. After retiring they moved to Cape Coral, FL in 1983. Nick moved back to Lexington in 2002 for the last 16 years. Nick is survived by 3 children; Sandra, Vincent, and Gale, 5 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren, 4 great-greatgrandchildren, and 1 sister, Mary Hamel. Preceded in death by wife, Charlotte Coons Meccariello, parents, Nicola Lucia Sr. and Michelina Viola Meccariello, 1 child, Nicola Lucia Meccariello III, 1 grandchild, 1 greatgrandchild, and 4 brothers. Nick had a long, happy, and prosperous life! A celebration of life family dinner will be in August.
