Smythe Knocks Senator Serino On Embarrassingly Low Score From New York League Of Conservation Voters

(Red Hook, NY) Karen Smythe today chided Senator Sue Serino on her terrible ranking by the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYCLV). Senator Serino earned a score of 38% from the NYCLV, which was due to her awful voting record on protecting natural resources and promoting environmental conservation. The Hudson Valley economy relies on clean water, agricultural products, and tourists to visit the many pristine landscapes.

“It is deeply concerning that the Hudson Valley has a Senator like Sue Serino who is failing to protect our natural resources and environment,” Karen Smythe said. “Our families, economy, and high quality of life all rely on having our natural resources protected and used sustainably. Clearly, Sue Serino refuses to take steps to protect our environment and ensure our children have access to the clean water and pristine natural beauty that makes the Hudson Valley such a desirable place to build a business and raise a family.”

The New York League of Conservation Voters (NYCLV) issued their annual scorecard for all New York State legislators. Senator Sue Serino’s failing grade of 38% ranks her at the bottom of the State Legislature on this critical issue.
