Cortlandt man arrest following a domestic incident

Town of Cortlandt, New York – On August 2, 2018, the New York State Police, Troop K, SP Cortlandt Uniform Patrols and Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), arrested Gary M. Carbone Jr., age 28, a Cortlandt Manor resident, for one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, all Class “D” Felonies, and one count of Menacing in the Second Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.

On August 2nd, 2018, SP Cortlandt Uniform Patrols were dispatched to a report of Domestic Dispute involving a firearm.  Upon arrival, it was alleged that Carbone did menace an acquaintance with a AR-15 style Assault Rifle prior to physically removing her from his residence.  A loaded, unregistered, Ruger AR-556 was located and secured at the residence.  Carbone was later taken into custody and transported back to SP Cortlandt to be processed.

Carbone was processed without incident and was arraigned at the Town of Cortlandt Court and was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 Cash Bail or $50,000.00 Bond.  Carbone was directed to reappear before the Town of Cortlandt Court on the 6th day of August 2018 at 9:00.
