Traffic Stop Results in Criminal Possession 2nd Degree Arrests

PRESS RELEASE

On August 2nd, 2018, the New York State Police in Livingston arrested Patrick A. Locke,55, from Bronx, NY and Wesley B. Minto, 41, from Wellington, FL. for criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree. While conducting speed enforcement on the Taconic State Parkway, the vehicle being operated by Minto was observed to be traveling at a speed of 73 mph in a 55mph zone.  State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 82 in the Town of Taghkanic.  Upo further interview, both individuals were found to be in possession of maijuana consisting of an aggregate weight of 4.15 lbs.
The defendants were arrested and arraigned in the Town of Taghkanic.  Wesley B. Minto was remanded to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.  Patrick A. Locke was remanded without bail due to prior felony convictions.
