Obituary, Donald Clifford Fresne

 

MILLBROOK – Donald Clifford Fresne of Millbrook, New York died on his 91st birthday July 13, 2018. Donald was raised in Franklin, Massachusetts and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He was founder and CEO of Texas Chemical & Plastics, RCM Environmental, Egenix, and VetOncoRx.

Donald moved to Millbrook, New York from Simsbury Connecticut 53 years ago while also residing at 825 Fifth Avenue in New York City. He lived at Tower Hill Lodge and is the former owner of Lightning Tree Farm on Mabbettsville Road where he enjoyed fox hunting, sleigh riding, and breeding horses. He has been quoted to say ‘the best of Millbrook was on the back of a horse’. He was well known for hosting his festive Christmas dinner dances and musicals.

When taking time off from his biotech efforts, Donald could be found on the tennis courts and gardening around his home.

Donald is survived by his sons David and John Fresne and grandchildren Alexandra, Wylie, Isabell and Hunter. His sons extend their gratitude to Dolly Hall, Christy Parsons, Anne Gillis, Deborah Montgomery and Dr. James Devanney for filling the last couple of days of Donald’s life with comfort and love before his next journey.

We will be celebrating his life with a service to be held August 11, 2018, 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Church on Deep Hollow Road, Millbrook, NY 12545.
