Obituary, John Curcio

 

John Curcio, 78, a 16-year resident of Poughquag, NY, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at Vassar Bros. Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Born in New York City on June 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (DiVincenzo) Curcio.  Previously of Millwood, NY, he was a school teacher in the Elmsford School District.  John was a supporter of St. Patrick’s Church in Bedford, NY and belonged to the Corvair Club of Connecticut; he was also an avid NY Giants fan.

He is survived by his life partner, Linda Forte of Poughquag; three sons, John and his wife Teresa of Mahopac, Anthony and his wife Lisa of LaGrangeville, and his oldest son, James; three step-children, Michelle Salerno of South Salem, NY, Anthony Forte of Hackensack, NJ, and Danielle Radeljic of Lake Mohegan, NY; his sister Patricia Colasacco of Carmel, NY; and eight grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 20th at St. Patrick’s Church, Bedford, NY at 10 AM.
