Pine Plains man arrested for domestic violence

PRESS RELEASE
Pine Plains, New York – On July 15, 2018, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested James M. Macisaac, age 34, of Pine Plains, for Assault in the 1st degree, a class B felony.

On July 15, 2018, Troopers responded to Northern Dutchess Hospital after nurses there reported a possible victim of domestic violence.  An investigation found the victim was assaulted by Macisaac with a hammer on July 13, 2018, in Pine Plains.  Macisaac was then located at his residence on Church Street and subsequently arrested.

Macisaac was arraigned before the town of Hyde Park Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.  Macisaac is next scheduled to appear before the town of Pine Plains Court on July 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
