Stolen gun seized following traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill

East Fishkill, New York – On June 14, 2018, Troopers from the Stormville barracks arrested Charece Y. Boatwright, age 29, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and Anthony C. Jackson, age 25, of Bronx, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class D felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony. Jackson was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation.

On June 14, 2018, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Ford Taurus on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Investigation by Troopers yielded a small amount of marijuana, and a loaded revolver. The handgun had been reported stolen in Vermont in 2017.

Boatwright and Jackson were arraigned before the Town of East Fishkill Court. Both subjects were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Their next appearance before the Court is scheduled for June 19, 2018, at 5:30 p.m.
