SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD IN HUDSON

The Hudson Police Department is looking for Mohammad Morshed in connection with a shooting last night. Below is the press release from HPD. If you see Morshed or the black BMW call 911 immediately.

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 19-year-old man Sunday night on Fairview Avenue.

The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, died from a gunshot wound to the neck while in a house on Fairview Avenue. After he was shot, the victim left the house, got into a taxi outside 20 Fairview Ave. and was taken to Columbia Memorial Health hospital, Hudson Police Chief L. Edward Moore said Sunday night.

Police are looking for Mohammed H. Morshed, 27, of Fairview Avenue, in connection with the shooting. Morshed is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and is of Middle Eastern descent. He was driving a black 2014 BMW model 525 sedan with the license plate number is HWL-3050, police said.

Morshed should be considered armed and dangerous and may be in possession of a silver handgun, which was identified by a witness at the scene, Moore said.
