#GetTickedOff: Panel Discussion on Lyme Disease at the Cary Institute

WHAT:
Lyme and other tick-borne diseases have impacted the lives of many in the Hudson Valley. On Thursday, June 14th from 6-8pm, learn about the latest research findings and prevention recommendations at a panel discussion to be held at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY.
The event, being offered in collaboration with Assemblywoman Didi Barrett, will feature experts in science, medicine, and public health. After panelists provide brief updates, Barrett will moderate questions from the audience.
WHO:
Dr. Richard S. Ostfeld: disease ecologist, author of Lyme Disease: The Ecology of a Complex System, and co-lead of The Tick Project
Dr. Kenneth Liegner: board-certified internist with 30 years of experience treating Lyme and tick-borne diseases
Dr. Alison Kaufman: DVM, MPH: public health advisor at the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health and lead of the tick-borne disease prevention workgroup
Assemblywoman Didi Barrett: Represents NY’s 106th District, champion for Lyme disease research and prevention, creator of the #GetTickedOff social media campaign
