Chatham woman arrested for stealing a sheep skin and cheese

LaGrange, New York – On January 31, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Linda Hayes, 63 years old, of Chatham, New York, for two counts of Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On December 30, 2014, Troopers responded to the Taste of New York Store located at the Todd Hill Rest Area, off of the Taconic State Parkway for a Larceny complaint. Following a detailed investigation, it was discovered that Hayes stole a sheep skin valued at over $250 from the store on December 27, 2014.

It was also discovered that Hayes stole cheese from the store on January 23, 2015.

Troopers obtained warrants issued by the Town of LaGrange Court ordering Hayes’ arrest. On January 31, she was arrested and arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court. Hayes was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail.
