Massachusetts woman arrested for transporting heroin in Columbia County

Hudson, New York – On May 22, 2018, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Elana M. Kramer, age 24, of Housatonic, MA, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, class B felonies, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation.

On May 22, 2018, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a 2000 Dodge Neon, on Green Street in the City of Hudson for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Investigation by the Troopers found the operator, Kramer, had an active warrant for her arrest.  Further investigation discovered over 43 grams of heroin, and a small amount of marijuana in Kramer’s possession.

Kramer was arraigned before the town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
