Two people arrested after a traffic stop leads to false documents.

On May 18, 2018, State Police Haverstraw arrested Samantha Irizarry, 32, of Astoria, NY and Kareem Davis, 31 of Rosendale, NY for Possession of a Forged Document 2nd degree (felony), False Impersonation (misdemeanor), and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (violation).

The couple was traveling on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Haverstraw when they were stopped for driving 91 mph in a 55 mph zone. The operator of the vehicle, Kareem Davis produced a forged Alabama driver’s license. An investigation revealed that the couple was in possession of numerous credit cards with various names. Further investigation revealed that the numbers on the card belonged to active accounts, but with different names.

Samantha Irizarry was arraigned in the Town of Orangetown Court on 8 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, False Impersonation and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. She was released on her own recognizance with a return date of June 11, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.

Kareem Davis is currently on parole and was found to be in violation of that parole. He was arraigned in the Town of Orangetown Court on two counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. He was remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash/$40,000 bond.
