Delgado Inducted Into Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame

Kingston, NY – Today, the Delgado for Congress campaign announced that Antonio Delgado was inducted into the Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Troy last night.

Delgado was a star forward at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School in Schenectady and a member of the school’s first ever Section II championship team in 1994. He went on to play for the Colgate Red Raiders in college, and was a member of the 1996 team that made the NCAA Tournament.

“Basketball is the first thing I fell in love with and it is truly an honor to be inducted into the Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame,” said Delgado. “My playing days as a high school kid in Schenectady are some of my fondest memories. It was through basketball that I learned discipline, work ethic, competitiveness and humility, and those are the same values that we are bringing to our Congressional campaign. I am grateful for all of the coaches and teammates who helped make me the man I am today.”
