Former Westchester County Board of Legislators Majority Leader Pete Harckham to kick off campaign for New York State Senate District 40 seat, on Monday, 5/21, 11 AM at  Mount Kisco Village Hall, 104 Main Street.

 Harckham, joined by supporters, to outline positions on taxes, healthcare, education, economic development, the SAFE Act, women’s & minority rights, infrastructure/utilities & the environment.  Harckham also to outline how his experience and record of legislative accomplishments can be applied towards opening logjam of progressive legislation bottled up in Republican-led NY State Senate.

NY State Senate District 40, currently represented by Incumbent Terrence Murphy (R-Yorktown),  includes parts of Northern Westchester (Briarcliff Manor, Buchanan, Cortlandt, Croton-on-Hudson, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, Mount Pleasant, New Castle, North Salem, Peekskill, Pleasantville, Pound Ridge, Sleepy Hollow, Somers, Yorktown) Putnam (Brewster, Carmel, Patterson, Southeast) and Dutchess (Beekman, Pawling) counties.
