New York City woman arrested for identity theft

PRESS RELEASE

Cortlandt, New York – On May 17, 2018, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Noralisa Diaz, age 30, of Brooklyn, NY, for Identity Theft in the 1stdegree, and Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, both class D felonies.

In January of 2018, the New York State Police began an investigation in which the victim had a fraudulent withdrawal of $8,000 from their personal bank account.  Investigation determined Diaz transferred the money between multiple accounts via telephone transactions.  Diaz was then located with the assistance of the NYPD 88th Precinct, and subsequently arrest on May 17, 2018.

Diaz was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
