Cortlandt, New York – On May 13, 2018, the New York State Police arrested Nicholas Luciano, age 24, of Cortlandt, for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree Preventing an Emergency Call, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree Damaging Property, all class A misdemeanors.

On May 12, 2018, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to Furnace Dock Road in the town of Cortlandt for a report of a physical domestic.  Investigation revealed Luciano engaged in a physical domestic at which time he strangled, and prevented a call for help of the victim.  Luciano also pushed a victim over, whose fall knocked a child less than 17-years-old down in front of a set of stairs.  He then punched a hole in the wall before fleeing on foot.  Luciano was located and arrested the following day.

Luciano was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.  An order of protection was requested and granted by the Court in favor of the victims.
