Kevin Charles Gates, 64, died Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts.
He was born March 15, 1954, in Middlebury VT, the son of Eunice Coltey Gates and Guy Martin Gates Jr. He graduated from Pawling High School in NY in 1972. Mr. Gates married Kim Bushee March 12 1977. He owned and operated J And K home improvement company in New Milford CT for many years. He later worked at General Electric Company as a maintenance mechanic for the last six years. He enjoyed playing golf, and hunting, especially bow hunting as well as working on classic cars. Especially his 1985 Monte Carlo.
Survivors include his wife Kim and his son Justin Gates both of West Rutland VT; his mother, Eunice Gates of New Milford CT. Three sisters, Dale Williams of Wingdale NY, Debbie Oakley and Stacey Gates both from New Milford Ct, a Brother Guy Gates III of West Rutland VT. Several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Gates was predeceased by his Father, Guy Gates Jr in 1985, a sister Patricia Lawrence in 2002, and a brother Michael Gates in 2016.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Benson VT.
