April 13, 2018 – Four Dutchess Community College students were presented with 2018 State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor’s Awards for Student Excellence. The awards were presented by SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson at an April 10 ceremony in Albany.

The recipients, nominated by DCC faculty and staff, are Engineering Science student Elizabeth Bellissimo, Pleasant Valley; Human Services student Lilith Fichtmueller, Clinton Corners; General Studies student Stacie Woodard, Dover Plains; and Business Administration student Xiang (Alan) Feng Wu, Hyde Park.

“These students have excelled academically and as leaders on our campus and in our community,” said DCC President Pamela Edington. “They represent the opportunities afforded by a DCC education and we’re very proud of their accomplishments.”

Approximately 250 students out of the 400,000 studying at the 64 SUNY campuses received the honor this year, which recognizes the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in leadership, athletics, community service, performing arts, campus involvement and career achievement.
