Obituary, Beverly A. Lifgren

 

Beverly A. Lifgren, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18th, 2018 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, NY.

She was born on February 10th, 1938 in Oneonta, NY to Robert and Margaret Manchester and was the youngest of 3 children.

She worked as a teller at Key Bank in Oneonta, NY for many years before moving down to Dover Plains, NY where she co-ran a breakfast stand with her daughter called “Debra Lees”. She later became one of the main faces of “Debra Ts Ice Cream Café” in Poughkeepsie, NY during its 20 years in business, while simultaneously helping to raise her 2 grandchildren.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, brother-in-law Ronald McMorris, best friend Ann Dennis, and many beloved pets. She is survived by her sister Jean McMorris, brother Robert Manchester Jr and his wife Julieta, daughter Debra Travis and her husband Kenneth, son James Lifgren and wife Sandra, grandsons Dylan Travis, Christopher Lifgren, and Michael Lifgren, granddaughter Kaylee Dunagan and her husband Anthony, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY. Burial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at Clove Cemetery in Poughquag, NY.
