Unlicensed Drivers Removed From Putnam County Roads

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of motorists driving with suspended licenses in Putnam County.

On March 17, 2018, at approximately 2:54 p.m. Deputy Sheriff Shawn Iarussi observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 6N, Mahopac. The deputy saw several objects hanging from the rear-view mirror obstructing the driver’s view.

A computer check disclosed, the driver, Peter T. Fischer, age 25, of Mahopac had been driving while his privilege to do so had been suspended in New York.

Deputy Iarussi issued summonses at the scene, and Mr. Fisher was released for a future Town of Carmel court date.
