Pawling Resource Center Hits a New Milestone
Monday, March 26th, celebrates the 42nd anniversary of the incorporation of the Community Resources and Service Center, now known as the Pawling Resource Center. The organization was founded by a group of Pawling clergy, led by John Brown and Rev. Ralph Lankler, who joined forces to create a vehicle for helping Pawling churches and the community with areas of need.
Today the PRC operates six days a week and provides a safety net with services for community members in need. Among the signature programs available through the Pawling Resource Center is a food pantry, rides to medical appointments, rides to shop for grocery items, homebound delivery of Food Pantry items for those unable to travel to the Center, holiday distributions of food and clothing, loaning medical equipment for those in recovery or spending their final days at home with loved ones, and referrals to social services.
The PRC depends upon volunteers to assist in delivering these valuable services. Please consider volunteering in the food pantry or as a driver. As a not-for-profit organization that depends upon contributions and grants to fund its programs, the PRC is grateful for the generosity of its supporters. Donations may be sent to the Pawling Resource Center at 126 East Main Street, in Pawling. Donations of food, paper goods, and personal care items are also welcome and may be brought to the Center at the above address.
